This tut will teach you how to make a Garrys mod 10 server
0.1. Remember to open a port in your router, you HAVE to. 1. Download HLDS Update Tool if you didnt already here: http://storefront.steampowered.com/download/hldsupdatetool.exe 2. Go into C:\ (I'm using C:\ because it's the default Drive but change it if you need) 3. Make a folder named srcds 4. Run HLDS Update Tool and install it into C:\srcds 5. Open Command Prompt from Start>All Programs>Applications 6. put the following: a) cd C:\srcds b) hldsupdatetool c) hldsupdatetool -command update -game garrysmod -dir C:\srcds 7. Open notepad and paste this in it:
@echo off cls title Garrysmod Server Watch :srcds echo (%time%) srcds started. start /wait C:/srcds/orangebox/srcds.exe -console -game garrysmod +map gm_flatgrass +maxplayers 16 echo (%time%) WARNING: srcds closed or crashed, restarting goto srcds
Click save as and make sure to save is as All Files, where it says Text Document, change that to All Files
Then name it GmodServer.bat MAKE SURE TO ADD THE .BAT

- It is set on gm_flatgrass and 16 players but if you want to change it right click on it and click edit
- Run gmodserver.bat and your server is up!
To install mods install them into c:\srcds\orange box\garrysmod To change the name type hostname servername in the server when it loads
